South Point posts season win totals for ever College Football team

South Point is first sports book to post totals on every team.
LAS VEGAS -- For the first time ever in Nevada sports book history, regular season win totals have been posted on all 128 Division I college football teams. And to make the unprecedented move even more astounding is that it's only May with the first kickoff not occurring until August 27.

The architect of the early numbers is veteran bookmaker Chris Andrews who took over as South Point sports book director in February. He's been hammering away at all the info he can gather on every school since taking over.

"I start compiling everything for all the teams right after the Super Bowl," said Andrews, a Pittsburgh native who has ran Nevada books for 37 years. "I track down what I can get for every school with the local papers and school web sites, and for a few teams the info is pretty hard to come by."

Two weeks ago the South Point was the first in Nevada to post spreads for the first week of college football action and also offered 40 'Games of the Year' numbers for the marquee match-ups. On Thursday he unleashed win totals on every school and offered some insight to key components in his oddsmaking process.

"When I do my ratings for each team, I always lean heavily on the offensive line with returning starters," he said. "I'm a big believer that stability in the offensive line is key for teams performing well early in the schedule. I don't have a math model, but I certainly have a methodology to produce the team ratings and win totals I'm comfortable with."

He's taking a dime on the Power-5 conference teams and a nickel on the other schools.

Roberts Week 7 College Football Plays: Wisconsin Crowd Won't Faze Ohio State

Here are the College Football games I’m betting this week:

Syracuse PK vs. Pittsburgh
Baylor -1 @ Colorado
Nebraska -9 vs. Texas
USC -2 ½ vs. Cal
Washington -1 vs. Oregon State
BYU +30 vs. TCU
Oklahoma State +3 @ Texas Tech
Ohio State -4 vs. Wisconsin

This is a tough environment for the Buckeyes this week, but Wisconsin isn’t in Ohio State’s class. I don’t even think this game will be as close as many experts expect. I could see the crowd being quieted pretty quick with a couple early momentum changers and then it’s lights out.

I also think that Nebraska is in a completely different class than Texas. The Longhorns are searching for who they are amid all their rich history and clout that has afforded them to get top recruits, but this group isn't getting it done. They can't run the ball and have trouble throwing consistently which makes a bad experience in store for them while facing a Nebraska team that has all the answers to who they are. Two teams going in opposite directions. One team can beat anyone in the nation while the other can't beat UCLA.

Roberts College Football Selections: Penn State Looks Like The Play

Penn State -4 vs. Ohio State: This game is based purely on the maturation of PSU QB Daryll Clark who has become the most efficient QB in the land thanks to his play ever since the big loss to Iowa. The Buckeyes have taken care of business in the Big-10 outside of the Purdue loss and covered on nearly occasion. Look for Penn State to win this game by at least 7.

Houston -1 @ Tulsa: The Cougars are on their way to an 11-1 season and Tulsa will not stand in their way. They have one of the premier offenses in the land and it will be featured with at least 40 points in this game.

Michigan -6 vs. Purdue: This is the lowest line Purdue has had in Michigan for some time and it’s a gift to bettors. Purdue will score some, but their defense has trouble stopping anyone other than a troubled Sophomore named Pryor. Look for Michigan to win by at least 14.

Other plays that will get there this week:
Baylor +14.5 @ Missouri
LSU +7.5 @ Alabama
Louisville +18 @ West Virginia
Notre Dame -11.5 vs. NAVY
